Applications:
PP or Polypropylene is used in the chemical and food industries, as well as in the manufacture of various parts and chemical agent containers.
Advantages:
- Mechanical quality
- Impact resistance
- Optimum chemical properties
- Resistance to medium-temperature acids
- Limited wear resistance
- Harder and more rigid
- Higher heat resistance than polyethylene
- Weldable
- Economical
Disadvantages:
- Difficult to bond
- Not as easy to work with as PE or PVC
