Applications:

PMMA, or polymethacrylate, is used to make protective covers, displays, casings, laboratory equipment and furniture.

Advantages:

  • Rigid material
  • Easy to work with for sawing, forming, machining, thermoforming, gluing, polishing and screen printing.
  • Excellent transparency
  • Cast quality with a remarkable appearance
  • Food contact
  • Total UV resistance

Disadvantages:

  • Less impact resistant than PC (Polycarbonate) and PETG (Amorphous Thermoplastic Polyester)
  • Reduced UV resistance (except special UVP)

Colours:

Clear / Bronze smoke / Diffusing white

Special colours and finishes on request.

Sizes:

Bar length: 2000mm

Plates: from 2000x1500 to 3050x2050 mm

Thicknesses:

Bar diameter: from 8 to 150 ∅

Cast PMMA plates: from 3 to 25 mm

Extruded PMMA plates: from 1.5 to 15 mm
